The Sun Gallery is looking for creative & ambitious volunteers who are willing to dedicate for a few hours a week to help with future programs & projects!
Duties_________________
Here is a few examples of some of the tasks you may be asked to help with as a Sun Gallery volunteer:
- Hanging up & taking down gallery exhibitions.
- Creating signs & fliers for upcoming exhibitions & events.
- Assisting with in-gallery field trips, classes, workshops, & events.
- Help staff a booth or table at community events like the Hayward Night Market, Farmers Market, etc.
- Cleaning the gallery and workshop space.
- Make art project examples for upcoming workshops.
- Helping sort and manage paperwork.
- Work the reception desk and help gallery visitors.
- Feed and love on the gallery cats.

After successful completion of the required six month volunteering, volunteers will be given a certificate of completion, and you are more than welcome to continue volunteering if you choose to.
A year of continuous volunteering will get you a complimentary year long membership to the Sun Gallery, which can be added to an already existing membership, and can be continued with each additional year of volunteering.
