| Saturday, April 25th, from 6-8 pm! (Hop starts at 2 Downtown, and at 6 lands at the Sun, then we have an after party at 7) The Sun Gallery is proud to celebrate the city of Hayward’s 150th birthday and the 5th anniversary of the Hayward Lit Hop! We encourage everyone to come out on Saturday, April 25th, 2026, at 2 pm to Heritage Plaza, the grassy area in front of the downtown library, and enjoy music from the East Bay Symphonic Band and performances from our city’s past and present poet laureates. Then we’ll move up and down B and C streets for different readings from local writing groups. Join us at 6 pm for a reading by the B Street Writers Collective at the Sun Gallery, then the after-party at 7 pm: B Street Writers Collective Sun Gallery – 1015 E Street BSWC is a collective of writers who share their love of writing and connect for the benefit of all with support, inspiration, readings, publishing and community outreach. Then, at 7 pm at the Sun Gallery, there will be an afterparty with free food, drinks, and a chance to meet the writers you heard earlier that day!
