Earth Day @ Sun Gallery in April, Yard Sale in May!

Hello Sun Gallery Community!

Get ready for a community get together to help beautify the Sun Gallery!

Saturday April 18th, we’ll be donning our gardening gloves and getting to work to fix up the back area of the gallery which is in some SERIOUS need of some TLC. This big job will be easier to accomplish with extra people, so we’re turning a simple clean up into a community event with a BBQ!

If you are able to come to the gallery and help build planters, plant some plants, and fix up some rough looking furniture— we would love to see you.

If you are unable to make it, but still want to help— please consider donating some funds or supplies to help us make the space more beautiful and welcoming for visitors.

Here is a list of some of the projects we’re hoping to complete during the clean up:

  • Removing invasive plants and weeds
  • Build planter boxes
  • Plant and mulch garden beds
  • Pull Weeds
  • Pot/re-pot plants
  • Refurbish outdoor furniture
  • Hang up shade awnings and lighting

If you cannot make it to the community clean up, you can help by donating specific items to help us accomplish some of the projects, or funds so we can purchase items ourselves.

If you, or someone you know, is able to help us acquire some of these items through donation or sponsorship, please reach out to us so we can connect!

And then in May, the gallery will be clearing out our closets and having a yard sale!

In the wise words of Mari Kondo “Keep only those things that speak to your heart. Then take the plunge and discard all the rest. By doing this, you can reset your life and embark on a new lifestyle.” and this is what we are trying to do with the gallery.

We are doing a thorough cleaning of the gallery and studio spaces; keeping the items that will help us provide a creative community space for everyone who visits, and letting go of the things that have served their purpose with us. There will be tables of all kinds of things for sale! Tools and machinery, books, artwork, supplies, antiques, and so much more! Who knows, you might find something you like for an affordable price.

At this time we will not be accepting donations for the yard sale, but that could change in the future as we get closer to May, so feel free to get started on your own spring cleaning!
