Together with the Hayward Rotary Club, Hayward Education Foundation, sponsors, the community and the Sun Gallery, we present the Many Hands, One Masterpiece initiative to HUSD second graders, expanding equitable access to the arts by introducing underserved students to a legacy children’s book illustrator exhibition and fostering cultural awareness through storytelling, visual interpretation, and shared creative experiences. The project strengthens a local arts organization (the Sun Gallery) by increasing youth participation and demonstrating the role of cultural institutions as community-centered learning spaces. These once-in-a-lifetime experiences: class field trips at the gallery include a personalized tour, and a teacher-led art lesson in the studio, based on artwork in the show. Donations for this program can be made to http://spot.fund/4x9pmjbsc

We are excited to present this special show again to our community and our children. With your help and your support, we have been working hard behind the scenes, continuing to lift up this 61-year-old institution, with creativity for all! Please join us for this special gathering, and bring your friends and family to see the show!
